Responsible Battery Coalition (RBC) is a nonprofit committed to the responsible management of batteries, including lead-acid, lithium-ion, and new battery technology from resource extraction to recycling. Asher was proud to partner with the Responsible Battery Coalition to establish their brand, build a new website, and manage external communications with stakeholders and the public.

2 Million Battery Challenge
RBC’s target was to collect and recycle 1% of batteries, which totals 2 million, to achieve a closed-loop recycling system. Asher helped the coalition launch the year-long 2 Million Battery Challenge at a U.S Senate Auto Caucus briefing in the nation’s capital to encourage the public to turn in used batteries at a retail partner for safe recycling.
Following the hearing, this integrated digital marketing campaign reached millions of North Americans, who were encouraged to responsible recycle used batteries at RBC members AutoZone, Advance Auto, O’Reilly Auto Parts, and Walmart. Asher continues to make key connections in Washington, DC to disperse RBC news widely among relevant media sources.
