One common thread has been consistent throughout Asher's 50-year history: our laser focus on client service.
Asher Shares Expertise at National Conference
Asher is proud to be one of the nation’s most experienced public health communications firms. As such, our Charlestown, W.Va., office is honored to be chosen from a competitive field to participate in the National Conference on Tobacco of Health. The conference, known as “the premier gathering of the U.S. tobacco control movement,” will be held March 22-24 in Austin, Texas. It brings together 2,000 public health professionals to learn about best practices and policies to reduce tobacco use, the leading preventable cause of disease and death in the United States.
Asher representatives will give a “poster presentation,” in which they’ll speak one-on-one with attendees about how to motivate and change behaviors with entrenched and hard-to-reach smokers. In addition, six Asher TV spots, created for our clients at the Montana and Hawaii health departments, will be shown at “AdFest,” a session showcasing new creative from across the nation.
Also participating will be leaders from the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control, Food & Drug Administration, American Heart Association and American Lung Association. Featured speakers include New York City Commissioner of Health Mary Bassett and President & CEO of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids Matthew L. Myers.
