A Home on the Web

Designing the Blueprint

Website redesign, development, and hosting & maintenance

Habitat for Humanity Greater Fort Wayne brings people together to build more than homes. Their work strengthens neighborhoods, supports families and creates opportunity through affordable homeownership.

The organization came to Asher for help creating a new website. It was important that the redesigned site create a welcoming online home that reflects its purpose and makes it easier for people to connect with the organization and take action to get involved.

Setting the Foundation

We reimagined the site to translate Habitat GFW’s brand to the web in a thoughtful, approachable way. We created a vibrant, modern look with a clean layout and friendly typography to support usability and create a welcoming experience. Navigation and page structure were rebuilt to help visitors quickly find opportunities to volunteer, give and engage with Habitat GFW’s work throughout the community.

Every design and development decision centered on making it easier for people to say yes, while also providing an easy way for administrators to update as well.

A Home for All

Accessibility was a priority from the start. With 91% of web pages still suffering from contrast errors, Asher took extra care to design a site that is clear, readable and usable for all visitors. The site is fully responsive across devices and compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility and ADA standards, helping ensure everyone can engage with Habitat’s mission.

Home Maintenance & Improvements

Much like building a home, there’s always maintenance and improvements to be made on a website. Asher continues to support the site through multivariate testing and performance analysis to improve how users engage with key pages. These ongoing insights help refine calls to action, navigation and page layout, ensuring the site continues to grow alongside Habitat GFW’s mission.
