One common thread has been consistent throughout Asher's 50-year history: our laser focus on client service.
Asher Accepts ATHENA Award
Asher Agency is honored to be selected as the recipient of the prestigious ATHENA Organizational Award, sponsored by Greater Fort Wayne. Asher President Kara Kelley accepted the award at a presentation on March 29, 2017.
Despite its male-dominated industry, women make up more than half the staff at Asher Agency. We have a newly appointed female president and women in key leadership roles in media, account services and administration. Asher encourages its employees to volunteer and be involved in the community and has been a longtime supporter of nonprofits that benefit women and girls, such as Wellspring Interfaith Social Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana.
The award honors a business or organization that has created a culture of inclusivity and acceptance and recognizes the important contributions of women in leadership roles by encouraging women to reach their full leadership potential. Award recipients encourage civic engagement by supporting programs and initiatives that create opportunity for women and girls to develop as leaders.
Asher Account Supervisor Faith Van Gilder was one of 10 nominees for the ATHENA Leadership Award.
